Do I need to book a visit to the cat lounge ahead of time?
Walk-in spots are available for each session, but space is limited, reservations ahead of time is strongly encouraged.
Rescheduling or Cancelling
Booking cancellations and rescheduling can be done via the links in your booking confirmation email within the allowed time period.( located right under the picture of the cat)
Is there parking at the cafe?
We do not have dedicated parking for the cafe, please utilize the street parking nearby.
Is there an age restriction for the cat lounge?
We currently welcome any visitors 6 and older. But adults must accompany and supervise children visitors at all times.
Do I bring my own cat?
Negative, please do not bring your cat. Leave your cat at home, we have more cats than you need.
Where do the cats come from?
We foster cats from the Regional Animal Services of King County. The cats stay with us until they find their permanent homes.
Are all cats adoptable?
We foster cats from the Regional Animal Services of King County. These adoptable cats stay with us until they get adopted. There are also 9 resident cats that call Seattle Meowtropolitan their permanent home and they cannot go home with anyone.
Are the cats spray/neutered and vaccinated?
Yes, all cats have been neutered or spayed and vaccinated at the shelter before coming to Seattle Meowtropolitan
How do I adopt a cat from Seattle Meowtropolitan ?
If you do meet a cat that you think is the the right one for you during your visit, please ask the staff or volunteers about the adoption process. Or go to our Adoption FAQ page
When are the cats most active?
Cats are very active during the visits now. Since we are only offering limited hours of visits and limited sessions each hour, we have more cats than people in the room. Most of them want to play!
How many cats will be in the Cat Cafe?
We currently have about 11-15 cats staying at the Cat Cafe
